Welcome to 13 Weeks Cafe. We are located at 2 King Street, Cambridge.
Every 13 weeks, our menu changes. New Season. New flavours. New stories.
One visit, you might find yourself enjoying authentic Nigerian Jollof Rice, a Jamaican-inspired Jerk Chicken Panini, or an Egyptian Mint tea. The next time you return, something entirely new could be waiting for you.
That’s the beauty of 13 Weeks Cafe.
No two seasons are ever quite the same at the cafe.
Bolupe grew up on a banana plantation in Nigeria, where life was simple and closely connected to the land. From a young age, she was drawn to creativity. At just 20, she started her own fashion business, learning early what it means to build something from nothing.
She later moved to the UK and spent 20 years working as a primary school teacher. In the classroom, she developed a deep love for people, learning, and community. She understood what it meant to guide, to listen, and to create spaces where people feel they belong.
While teaching, Bolupe began to dream again. This time through travel. She started a travel blog called 13 Weeks Travel, inspired by something very simple: school holidays are 13 weeks long each year. Those weeks became her time to explore the world, discover new cultures, and share her experiences.
What began as a blog grew into a travel agency. 13 Weeks Travel became a business helping others experience the same joy of travel she had discovered for herself.
But Bolupe saw something deeper. To her, travel and hospitality were always connected. Both are about people. Both are about experience. Both are about feeling welcome somewhere new.
After six years of running her travel agency online, she took a bold step. She opened a physical space on King Street in Cambridge, bringing her vision into real life. That space became 13 Weeks Café.
Today, the café is more than a place to eat and drink. It is an extension of her story. Travel, culture, and community brought together under one roof.
At the centre of everything Bolupe does is community. She is someone who builds connections wherever she goes, creating spaces where people feel seen, welcomed, and valued.
And beyond all of this, she carries a bigger dream: to one day serve her community as a Member of Parliament, continuing her work of bringing people together and creating positive change from a wider platform.
